Ron Brown returns to Nebraska, joins Frost's staff in player development role

Ron Brown, the former Cornhusker assistant coach, was named the program's director of player development, the school announced Wednesday morning.

Brown coached at NU from 1987-2003 and 2008-14 before joining Bo Pelini's staff at Youngstown State briefly and spending teh past three years at Liberty University working for Turner Gill.

“Coach Brown had a tremendous impact on me during my playing career at Nebraska, and I am sure he will have a similar impact on many young men in our football program in the years ahead,” said Frost, who quarterbacked the Huskers while Brown was an assistant to Tom Osborne.
