Bakersfield (11-5) jumped to a quick 2-0 first-inning lead, and the Huskers later responded with a three-run inning to take a 3-2 lead. Bakersfield regained the lead in the fifth inning before NU scored two runs in the seventh to take a 5-4 lead.
Nebraska (9-9) added a run in the eighth inning when freshman Mojo Hagge doubled to right field and scored on a single from Angelo Altavilla.
