Nebraska will be well-represented at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, with nine former Huskers set to compete:
Jordan Burroughs, wrestling, United States: The face of American wrestling won gold in London in 2012. He goes for another beginning Aug. 19.
Therese Alshammar, women's swimming, Sweden: The 38-year-old will swim in her sixth Olympics, which is a record. The three-time medalist will compete in the 50-meter freestyle.
Jordan Larson, women's volleyball, United States: The Governor, as her teammates call her, helped the Americans to a silver medal in 2012. The Hooper native is one of three ex-Huskers on the team.
