Nebraska fans who thought it odd to watch a Big Ten league game Thursday night when No. 2 Ohio State beat Indiana may see the Huskers in a similar situation in the future.
According to Saturday Traditon's Dustin Schutte, Purdue athletic director Mike Bobinski said Friday that the Boilermakers are opening some future seasons with conference games, and added that one “soon” will be against Nebraska.
Non-conference games are sometimes moved or bought out, but Nebraska has first-week opponents announced at Memorial Stadium for 2018 (Sept. 1 against Akron), 2019 (Aug. 31 against South Alabama) and 2021 (Sept.
