According to a report from the Omaha World-Herald, Nebraska Head Coach Mike Riley interviewed Notre Dame front office staffer Bob Elliott, who was a linebackers and safeties coach for Notre Dame from 2012-2014.
Elliott, who moved into the AD part of the Notre Dame program as a “special assistant to the Head Coach” before last season, has been a defensive coach almost through his entire time in Division 1A Football.
A former Defensive Back at Iowa from 1972-1975, Elliott has been a Defensive Coordinator with the Hawkeyes, San Diego State and Kansas State.
