The frustration continues.
Nebraska dropped yet another one score game that the Huskers could have won. Maybe even would have won, if the referees would have flagged Trojan cornerback DeCarlos Nicholson for a blatant hold on the game’s final play.
Should have won? Wellll, that’s probably a stretch. Southern Cal outgained the Huskers 441-310 and pretty much seemed to be the better team Saturday, at least from my perspective. It was an uneven performance from the Blackshirts, and while we saw a few signs of improvement on offense, the Huskers’ offense continues to struggle.
Fans hoped that new offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen would make a bigger impact on this game, but that probably was more wishcasting than should have been expected.
