Members of the University of Nebraska Board of Regents contentiously picked apart a proposed contract with an Indiana travel agency Friday before ultimately approving the NU athletic department's plans.
Several regents criticized the choice of Anthony Travel of South Bend and the terms and price of the contract, saying they were disappointed a Nebraska firm was not chosen and questioning the $796,000 price tag over the next five years.
But NU President Hank Bounds said Anthony Travel, which arranges flights, lodging and ground transportation for many Big Ten Conference schools and 34 universities around the country, offered the best deal for the Husker athletic department.
