Reds Even Series with 6-2 Win

Lincoln – After being shutout in the series opener last night, the Red team posted a 6-2 victory over the White squad on Wednesday evening at Hawks Field to even the three-game Red-White Series. The rubber match of the series is set for 6 p.m. tomorrow night.

The White squad jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning, but couldn’t hold on. A trio of freshmen created the runs for the White team, as Jesse Wilkening worked a leadoff walk, Ben Klenke then drove in Wilkening in with a triple and Mike Waldron picked up his third RBI of the series with a groundout.
