Red Squad Earns 4-1 Win to Open Red-White Series

The Nebraska baseball team held its opening game of the annual Red-White Series Monday afternoon, with the Red squad picking up a 4-1 win in seven innings at Hawks Field at Haymarket Park.

Koty Frank tossed 5.0 shutout innings for Red, allowing just two hits with seven strikeouts and no walks. Frank kept the White squad to one hit in the first four innings of his start.

Jake Bunz started for White, tallying six strikeouts with two runs (one earned), three hits and one walk allowed over 3.0 innings.

Luke Sartori had three of Red's six hits on the day, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored.
