The Wahoo native won his appeal to be released from his scholarship at UCF and thus can be put on scholarship here instead of having to redshirt for a season as would have been the case if UCF’s move to block his transfer had been upheld.

Vedral makes three scholarship quarterbacks on the Husker roster, joining redshirt freshman Tristan Gebbia and freshman Adrian Martinez. His addition puts NU at 86 scholarship players by the Journal Star’s count, one over the 85-man limit.
