Some folks -- including openly gay former Husker place-kicker Eric Lueshen (2003-05) -- have expressed concern that Brown has stated publicly he believes homosexuality is a sin.
"The University of Nebraska stands for diversity and inclusion," Moos, the Huskers' first-year athletic director, said Monday during Big Ten Media Days. "I say that speaking for the entire institution. But specifically in intercollegiate athletics, it's a strong point. We're solid in that regard."
Brown, the former Nebraska assistant coach, last week was named the program's director of player development. Moos describes Brown as a "tremendous individual and wonderful mentor to young men.
