David Knevel is set to return to Nebraska’s offensive line for the first time since the team’s season opener.
The senior, who opened the year as NU’s starting right tackle but suffered a high ankle sprain and a stress fracture in his right foot in the fourth quarter against Arkansas State, is likely to start at right guard against Penn State, head coach Mike Riley said Thursday.
“David is smart, he’s healthy now and he gives us that – it’s pretty impressive physical figure in there,” he said of the 6-foot-9, 315-pounder. “It reminds me a hair of a couple of years ago when we put Zach Sterup (6-8) inside.
