The Huskers are going to get another year out of Kevin Williams.
The defensive tackle applied for and was granted another season of eligibility due to injuries earlier in his career, Mike Riley confirmed after Thursday's practice.
"That's good news for the Huskers," Riley said.
Williams was eligible for that extra season because he suffered a knee injury that took him completely out of both the 2011 and 2013 seasons.
Considering Williams owns a Blackshirt, and when fully healthy, is considered key in that defensive tackle rotation along with Maliek Collins and Vincent Valentine, the news is no small victory for Nebraska.
