Red Report: Conrad taking a crack at center; more consistency needed from O-line vets

Add junior Cole Conrad to the mix of players in contention for the starting center spot.

Nebraska offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf said after Thursday's practice that it's close between sophomore Michael Decker, redshirt freshman John Raridon and Conrad, who started five games at tackle last fall, but has also practiced at guard and center during his time at NU.

Langsdorf indicated he'd like to see some separation soon at center, the spot left open when Dylan Utter departed.

"Just like every position, we're looking for a guy that knows what he's doing, can get us in the right calls within the daily consistency in doing it right," Langsdorf said.
