Through five spring practices, Nebraska defensive coordinator Mark Banker has seen plenty of bright spots, even though the Huskers have kept things basic to this point.
"I think the linebackers, in particular Bando (Josh Banderas), Dedrick Young, Marcus Newby. … Just their fluidity and their movement and their aggressiveness in seeing what they need to see and just going and getting it without hesitation — that's been good," Banker said following Tuesday's practice on the fields outside the Hawks Championship Center.
Banker next mentioned junior cornerbacks Joshua Kalu and Chris Jones. He said they've practiced consistently well.
