Recruiting ticker: Husker commits Henrich, Robinson earn state POY awards

Two of Nebraska's 2019 verbal commits were honored Thursday for being the top players in their respective states.

Inside linebacker Nick Henrich (Omaha Burke) and all-purpose back Wandale Robinson (Frankfort, Kentucky) were named the Gatorade players of the year in Nebraska and the Bluegrass state, respectively.

@nickhenrich_42 earns Gatorade Player of the Year! Best part about this is that Nick is the ultimate "team guy" and will certainly accept this honor on behalf of his brothers, past and present, he played with on @BurkeFootball https://t.co/86OnWkLXDG

Henrich missed time this fall with a knee injury, but still had a major impact for Burke, which put together its first state championship team in school history and finished 13-0.
