Nebraska athletic director Bill Moos addressed the media in person Wednesday for the first time since Saturday's game against Akron was canceled.
Moos said he and Akron AD Larry Williams, "who's a classy guy and a good AD," had a "very good dialogue" as the events of Saturday night progressed.
Moos said the decision was ultimately left up to Akron, and the Zips decided against resuming the game on Sunday.
"Scott (Frost) felt like he wanted to play, and the players wanted to play (Sunday). That's the message I was getting," Moos said.
Early in discussions with Akron, Moos said, Williams was confident his Zips would be able to secure hotel rooms for Saturday night.
