Brenden Jaimes, who spent his freshman season working on the right side of Nebraska’s offensive line, has spent this spring working at left tackle, Huskers assistant Greg Austin said Thursday.

The 6-foot-5, 280-pounder played left tackle in high school and feels more comfortable there, Austin said after Nebraska wrapped up its third practice of the spring at the Hawks Championship center.

Jaimes during last season became just the fifth true freshman offensive lineman to start a a game at Nebraska when he replaced Matt Farniok at right tackle against Rutgers.
