“What’s losing?”
It can be a simple question or an uproarious declaration after capping off a perfect 12-0 season.
When Iowa hit the locker room yelling the question it was most certainly the latter after a 28-20 win over rival Nebraska.
Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz has experienced a few losses in his day, 85 to be exact. But on Friday afternoon he also experienced the elation of leading Iowa to its first undefeated season since 1922.
“Our goal for a long time has been to win every game,” said Ferentz. “It’s been our plan for 17 years.
