Rex Burkhead scored a touchdown for the fourth consecutive week, as he helped New England to a 27-24 win at Pittsburgh in a battle to two AFC heavyweights to highlight performances by former Huskers in the NFL in Week 15.
Burkhead had just four carries for 12 yards on Sunday, but his one yard touchdown run in the first quarter helped the Patriots clinch the AFC East and gain the tiebreaker over the Steelers for home-field advantage in the AFC playoffs. Burkhead also had a five-yard reception on Sunday.
Richie Incognito (Bills) and Jeremiah Sirles (Vikings) paved the way for wins for their respective teams on the offensive line.
