Former Nebraska running backs highlight Week 10 of Huskers in the NFL, as Rex Burkhead, Andy Janovich and Ameer Abdullah each had impressive performances for their teams over the weekend.
Burkhead had 10 rushes for 36 yards for the New England Patriots. Additionally, he had three catches for 27 yards and one touchdown, helping New England cruise to a 41-16 win over the Denver Broncos. On special teams, Burkhead blocked a punt, becoming the first player to have a receiving touchdown and block a punt in the same game since 1977. It was the first blocked punt by a Patriot since 2014.
