The Nebraska basketball team left Lincoln Friday morning to begin their nine-day trip to Spain. After a mid-afternoon flight from Omaha to Atlanta, the Huskers will have approximately a three-hour layover in Atlanta before departing for Madrid this evening. The Huskers will fly overnight and arrive Saturday morning (approx. 3 a.m. Lincoln time) and have a short workout to help adjust to the seven-hour time difference.
While the Huskers will adjust to the time change, Nebraska spent its 10 practices playing under FIBA rules to help acclimate the team to the pace and style international game.
