IOWA CITY, Iowa — Just less than two hours before kickoff, sophomore receiver JD Spielman jogged onto the field at Kinnick Stadium with a ball under his hands.
He spent a few minutes jogging and cutting under the watchful eye of a training staff member while his fellow receivers went through a separate set of drills.
Spielman, of course, did not play last week against Michigan State with an apparent left ankle injury. Time will tell if he's able to go today against the Hawkeyes.
Elsewhere, a couple of travel roster updates: Quarterback Noah Vedral and reserve inside linebacker Jacob Weinmaster did not make the trip one week after neither was available against the Spartans.
