RENO, Nev. - Husker legend Shannon Pluhowsky won the Professional Women's Bowling Association Tour Championship that ran from Friday-Sunday.
The PWBA Tour Championship is the final event of the 2021 PWBA Tour season. It is also the third major of the season and marks the conclusion of the PWBA Fall Classic Series. Athletes compete for a $50,000 prize.
Pluhowsky finished Friday and Saturday with 6,026 pinfall to earn her second seed position for Sunday's stepladder finals.
On Sunday, Pluhowsky faced Diana Zavjalova in the semifinals and won with a score of 289-199. She scored 10 consecutive strikes to move her onto the finals.
