Nebraska football writer Parker Gabriel offers his extra points from the Huskers' 31-28 loss to Iowa on Black Friday.
Turning point: Nebraska’s inability to capitalize early in the third quarter hurt badly. The game had plenty of twists and turns down the stretch, but the first two drives didn’t go well. The Huskers started at their own 7 and own 12 and punted both times. That shortened the game considerably.
It was over when: Miguel Recinos’ 41-yard field goal split the uprights as the clock hit zeroes. A walk-off to end the season on a brutal note for the Huskers.
