Kyle Perry had his best start of the season to help the Nebraska baseball team shutout the Kansas State Wildcats 7-0 on Tuesday night. Jaxon Hallmark had an inside the park grand slam to help the Huskers offense.
Going against Wildcat starter Joey Martin, the Huskers jumped out to an early lead. Martin walked three of the first four batters he saw. Carter Cross, Gunner Hellstrom, and Keegan Watson all took a free base to load them up. Martin got Cam Chick to strikeout to bring him within one pitch of getting out of the inning.
Up came Hallmark who hit a sharp fly ball to the right fielder, who made a diving attempt at the ball.
