Palmer Make Amends With Winning Shot

James Palmer Jr. will tell you this isn’t the first time he’s hit a game-winning shot.

You play as much basketball as Palmer has, he said, and you’re bound to hit a couple.

Palmer will admit, however, this was probably his biggest one.

Maybe if for no other reason, the dramatic confusion it caused.

Palmer’s lean-in shot from the left with eight-tenths of a second remaining appeared to have given Nebraska a one-point lead, what with his feet a good foot behind the 3-point line.

Yet for some reason, one official signaled a two-point shot, which led to replay review, and a somewhat awkward moment between the teams’ head coaches.
