Nebraska incoming freshman Yvan Ouedraogo wrapped up play at the FIBA U18 European Championships Sunday, as he totaled six points, five rebounds and two assists in France’s 101-57 victory over Russia.
With the win, France finishes the tournament with a 6-1 mark and a fifth-place finish with the lone blemish coming in a quarterfinal loss to silver medalist Turkey.
Ouedraogo, who was the second-youngest player on France’s 12-man roster, was a valuable reserve in the frontcourt, averaging 4.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 0.8 steals per game while playing 14.7 minutes per game.
He reached double figures twice in tournament play, tallying 11 points in 12 minutes against Latvia in pool play and against Great Britain in the classification round.
