In fact, Anderson says it was one of the two best days of his track career. That’s because he cleared a height he never had before – practice or meet – at 7 feet, 3 inches. His other best day is the only time he qualified for nationals, during the 2016 outdoor season.
Anderson is the other guy at high jump for the Huskers. Senior Landon Bartel is the guy. He’s a Big Ten champion in the event, and cleared 7-3 ¾ earlier this season, a mark that ranks sixth in the NCAA this season and is tied for ninth in school history.
