Open Thread: Nebraska's Will Shields and Mick Tingelhoff Are Enshrined In The Pro Football Hall Of Fame

Two Nebraska Cornhuskers will be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame this evening in Canton, Ohio.

Will Shields - The 1992 Outland Trophy winner from Lawton, Oklahoma had a distinguished career with the Kansas City Chiefs from 1993 to 2007. Shields played in 224 games in the NFL, starting 223 of them. With playoff games included, his 231 straight starts is second only to Brett Favre in NFL longevity.

At Nebraska, Shields was the 2nd OL to play as a true Freshman in the program's history.
