Kianna Ibis reacted like many other Division I basketball players who eagerly watched Monday night's NCAA Tournament women's selection show.
There was excitement when Arizona State junior saw her school's name flash on the ESPN broadcast. Ibis said she was happy to see the Sun Devils land the seven seed.
Ibis, who has an aunt in Tempe, continues to get better. She doubled her average minutes played between her freshman and sophomore seasons, and she has nearly doubled her scoring output from last year. Ibis averaged 6.5 points per game as a sophomore and is averaging 12.
