Offensive fireworks provide spring-game glimpse of what Frost, Huskers hope is to come

Long before a record Red-White Spring Game crowd filed into Memorial Stadium on a chilly, damp April Saturday to see the unveiling of the Scott Frost era at the University of Nebraska, the program’s new defensive coordinator already knew the score.

“People want to see touchdowns (in the spring game),” the 38-year-old brain behind NU’s attacking 3-4 system said last weekend.

Nobody is putting this program in the same realm as the Marcus Mariota-led Oregon Ducks just yet, but with the Frost era at NU comes the same take-no-prisoners approach that showed in its first public performance the kind of potential that has Husker fans dreaming of piling up points and yards with the best teams in the nation.
