When the hurdles disappear, the race gets a lot easier.
“You get to flying and the 60-meter hurdles becomes a 60-meter dash, almost, and you remember you have to snap your legs down over the hurdles,” said Husker junior hurdler/sprinter Andy Neal.
“When it's working and you’ve done all the preparation the right way, it seems like the hurdles disappear. Then, it seems like you can’t get your leg down fast enough, after clearing the hurdle.”
On Saturday, he’ll find the hurdles waiting for him in the annual Adidas Classic at the Devaney Sports Center.
Neal was a standout hurdler at Lincoln East.
