"In his first 15 months, Bill has done a great job guiding our Athletic Department," NU system president Hank Bounds and UNL chancellor Ronnie Green said in a joint statement. "He has our full support, and we look forward to his continued strong leadership."
Early this week, a string of rumors, unsubstantiated by any media outlet, sprang up online. Typically, university officials wouldn't even go so far as to acknowledge unfounded gossip, but in this case it appears Bounds and Green felt it necessary to reiterate their support for Moos.
Moos is less than 16 months into a five-year contract that pays him $1,050,000 this year and calls for a $50,000 raise each year through the end of 2022.
