For the sixth time this season, Nebraska's Jessica Shepard was named Big Ten Conference freshman of the week.
The 6-foot-4 forward claimed her latest honor after recording 29 points and career-high 19 rebounds in Nebraska's 73-57 win against Illinois at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Her 19 rebounds were the second-most in school history by a freshman and matched Nebraska's highest rebound total by any player since 1999.
Shepard is averaging 19.3 points and 9.1 rebounds per game. She leads the team in both categories.
