NU Turns Attention to Jaguars

Lincoln --- The Nebraska football team began preparations for Saturday’s game against South Alabama, practicing for just under 90 minutes in half pads on Monday afternoon. The defense practiced in the Hawks Championship Center, while the offense practiced in the Cook Pavilion.

Defensive coordinator Mark Banker spoke with the media after practice, addressing the need to replace injured players, specifically at the defensive end position.

“Right now, on third down, we started doing some things with (linebacker) Michael-Rose Ivey," Banker said. "That and the rotation with Freedom [Akinmoladun] and [Ross] Dzuris out there. Dzuris had 15-18 plays (against BYU) and he did a pretty good job.
