NU freshman class includes five high school All-Americans

The Nebraska softball team has seven incoming freshmen, and five of them have been named high school All-Americans.

Beatrice graduate Marinda Bryant and Lexey Kneib (Webb City, Missouri) were named All-Americans in the Central Region, Colorado's Bree Boruff and Haley Donaldson were honored from the Mountain Region, and Tristen Edwards (Murrieta, California) received Western Region honors.

Edwards, the younger sister of ex-Husker standouts Tatum and Taylor Edwards, was one of 36 players selected nationally to play in the inaugural PGF High School All-American Game later this summer.

Edwards just wrapped up her senior season at Vista Murrieta, batting .
