Lincoln, Neb. - The Nebraska women's tennis team (5-4, 0-0 Big Ten) dropped its matchup against the Kansas State Wildcats (5-3, 0-0 Big 12) 4-1 Wednesday evening at the Dillon Tennis Center.
The Huskers started off strong in doubles competition, with the No. 1 team of Kristina Novak and Maja Makoric securing the 6-1 win over K-State's Florentine Dekkers and Ioana Gheorghita. Falling short on court two was Ellie Kuckelman and Samantha Alicea to Karine-Marion Job and Maria Linares, 4-6. In the No. 3 spot, Isabel Adrover Gallego and Chloe Kuckelman rounded out doubles play as they battled Wildcats' Dinara Alloyarova and Anna Turco, 3-6.
