JD Spielman is the most experienced wide receiver Nebraska has on its roster and, as such, he's widely seen as a leader in the room.
Former Husker Stanley Morgan said this winter that he saw Spielman step up more vocally as 2018 progressed and both offensive coordinator Troy Walters and head coach Scott Frost have mentioned Spielman's leadership role growing as his veteran status continues to grow.
So perhaps it wasn't surprising to see him in a lighthearted video produced by the school on Friday, wrapping up Week 1 with senior cornerback Lamar Jackson and speaking for his position group.
