Notebook: Fyfe has big numbers, but wishes he had a few throws back

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — If you had told Ryker Fyfe early Saturday morning he was going to throw for 407 yards and four touchdowns, he would have probably gladly signed up for that kind of day.

But the junior quarterback brought up his four interceptions when talking about his first career start for Nebraska in a 55-45 loss to Purdue.

"We started off good, but picks in your own side of the field puts the defense in a tough spot," Fyfe said. "(I) just got to learn from that. Throw the ball away. Scramble and do what I can do.
