After a football career at Pine Creek High School in Colorado Springs that was good enough to make him one of the state's top recruits in 2015, Domann had narrowed his college decision down to the home-state Buffaloes and Nebraska.
Colorado had a strong pitch. The Buffaloes were just a couple of hours away from home. And head coach Mike MacIntyre had something cooking — CU would go 10-4 in 2016 and play in the Pac-12 championship game. Before that, he visited Domann in his home. The two got to know each other's families.
"Coach Mac sold everything he possibly could to me, which, any coach is going to do to get a recruit to his school," Domann said.
