Lincoln – The No. 11 Nebraska rifle team capped an impressive weekend sweep of No. 6 Air Force, knocking off the Falcons, 4,699-4,676, at the NU Rifle Range on Sunday.
For Head Coach Rachel Martin, the performance was not only a season best by nearly 30 points over the previous season best (4,670 at Ohio State on Jan. 9), but it showed the depth of the Huskers' lineup, as NU claimed four of the six spots in both events on Sunday to move to 3-1 on the season. Prior to this weekend's sweep, Nebraska had won just one of its last six matches against Air Force dating back to the 2015-16 season.
