Tim Miles and crew could have taken it easy on his old team from Minnesota but they did not. Nebraska’s starters had some decent rest while the bench caught up on their minutes for the year during the last days of December.
Instead of coming out flat during Christmas break the Huskers handed Southwest Minnesota State a sound 79-38 loss in Lincoln on Saturday night. Nebraska started the game off with a 12-0 run before the Mustangs finally appeared on the scoreboard after almost 5 minutes of gameplay had gone by.
From there the Huskers had a hard time finding the basket against the Mustang defense but woke up by the end of the first half for a huge 18-3 run.
