Nebraska sophomore infielder Tristen Edwards is a unanimous all-Big Ten first-team softball selection. The honors were revealed Wednesday, a day before the Big Ten Tournament.
Edwards started every game at shortstop this season despite never playing the position prior to 2018. She led the team in batting (.358), homers (12) and RBIs (43), and became one the 13th player in program history to have at least 10 homers and 10 doubles in a season, and the first since Steph Pasquale in 2015.
Edwards was among the top hitters in Big Ten Conference play, batting .500 through the halfway point of the league season.
