The Nebraska women’s basketball team will probably play again this season.
After losing its first game in last week’s Big Ten Tournament, coach Connie Yori said she didn’t know if Nebraska would accept a bid into the WNIT Tournament, if offered. She cited several players being injured as why the Huskers would end the season early, but also said a young team would benefit from playing more games.
Team spokesperson Jeff Griesch said Wednesday that Nebraska has decided it would accept a spot in the WNIT. The team will practice later this week.
The NCAA Tournament field will be announced on Monday evening.
