Miami had three players in double-figure scoring and beat the Nebraska women’s basketball team 82-68 on Friday in Coral Gables, Florida.
Guard Laura Cornelius made four three-pointers and scored 23 points to lead Miami (5-1).
Early in the fourth quarter Nebraska got what had been a 22-point deficit to 10 points on a three-pointer by Taylor Kissinger. But Miami quickly extended its lead and got the 14-point win.
Nebraska had 19 turnovers in the game, and Miami scored 24 points off of them.
With 14 points, freshman guard Sam Haiby led the Huskers in scoring for the third time in four games.
