Nebraska WBB Opens Conference Play with a Big Win Against Minnesota 84-65

This looked like a beatdown of a bad team, but Minnesota has been well-regarded, even receiving votes in the polls. Nebraska played an amoeba-like game in which no particular player was especially on fire or any particular approach worked. The team just did what they could with who was on the floor and it payed off.

First Quarter

The Huskers opened up with a balanced attack as Alexis Markowski, Logan Nissley and Britt Prince each scored to open up a 7-2 lead. A Callin Hake three caused the Gophers to take a timeout.

The Huskers generally maintained an 8-9 point lead for the rest of the quarter until the last two minutes.
