Nebraska takes a one-week break from Big Ten action on Saturday, as the Huskers play host to Bethune-Cookman. The matchup was added to the Huskers’ 2018 schedule in mid-September, and replaced the original season opener with Akron that was canceled because of severe thunderstorms in Lincoln and the surrounding area.
Nebraska enters the game at 1-6 overall, following a 53-28 victory over Minnesota on Saturday at Memorial Stadium. The Husker offense continued to roll in the victory, helping Nebraska to a 28-0 lead in the second quarter. Nebraska rolled up 659 yards of total offense and 383 rushing yards, both season highs and the most productive offensive output for Nebraska since 2014.
