This has been a special year for Nebraska volleyball and that’s saying a lot. The Husker volleyball team has always been a top performer, and John Cook has been in charge of the team since he took over from legend Terry Pettit in 2000.
Terry Pettit was an enormous influence in growing the sport of volleyball, and John Cook has done an amazing job of carrying on that legacy.
Nebraska started this volleyball season with a historic, world-recording setting event at Memorial Stadium when 92,003 people attended Volleyball Day on August 30th. The event garnered attention around the world as being the largest attended women’s sporting event in history.
