The Cornhuskers just got better today!
Hot on the heels of last night’s very important pick-up of an offensive nature, Erik Chinander and Travis Fisher have secured the commit of Quinton Newsome, a talented three-star out of Suwanee, Georgia, beating out offers from Georgia and Auburn*.
The six-foot-two safety out of North Gwinnett HS has a lot of work to do to play offensive line at this level, but may find a spot in Nebraska’s secondary. Newsome visited Nebraska unofficially in late July and clearly liked what he saw. He’ll be part of Fisher’s revitalization project, bringing much needed depth and skill to a secondary under construction.
